Due to the facts of current global economic recession caused by the global banking finance crisis, we are experiencing this special ‘winter of storm’.  Nobody could now stand out from this storm. Passions of purchase seems getting colder and colder all over the world.  Although we are facing big risk of unexpected loss at present, being supported to each other constantly, we are confident that we would definitely strive through this winter of storm.  Let’s pray for a better and warming up 2009.

RMB Value 

From last week, USD and RMB are both devaluating against other currencies. It seems that RMB would keep sitting at present value level for quite some time.  If this trend keeps on, Chinese exporting companies would benefit from this currency stabilization. The world would keeps benefiting from Chinese products with fairly low price and high quality

 Exporting Tax Rebate 

In order to promote exporting at this stage, Chinese Government has recently increased the Exporting Tex Rebate rate, affecting most kinds of commodities, including stone products. Construction materials in stone would benefit about 1% higher of exporting tax rebate on the manufacturing cost. Some white-glass panel and other artificial materials are enjoying an even higher rate of exporting tax rebate, comparing with last three months. This measure would , to some extent, save some factories producing capacity and keep some working positions, especially in Guangdong, Fujian and Zhejiang Province, where more and more workers are dismissed due to less and less order from abroad.

 Sea Freight

As a result of over investment on the European vessels and affected by the decreasing international oil prices, all sea freights to Main European Ports, are dropping to 25% ~ 30%  level, compare to the peak level last year. Some voyage lines to Japan are even lower to an unbelievable RMB50.00 per container.  But it is said that it has dropped to the rock bottom and there is no more room downwards with sea freight could be moving. So it is now quite strange but wise, that some wholesales importing company are buying and exporting from China, with their whole year planned order quantity, in this short period of time. It is hard to predict but still a rumor that, the sea-freight would start flagging up, after Chinese New Year, in February.

 G603    Quarries

With the Government’s general election in the level of  Quanzhou City and Yonghe Town, where G603 quarries locate, the authorities place more strict measure on the mining and permit release on mining.  Current prices are increasing a little.  But in general, G603 would keep a quite stable prices level for some period of time, providing the mining comes to normally stable.

 G654 Quarries

There are some 30 valid permits of mining for around 30 mining spots.  G654 would be offered at a quite stable level for at least another three years, onwards.

 G682

Some small quarries are closed by local governments, due to safety control reason. Therefore G682 is a little increasing. Nevertheless, due to the lower needs, prices are not visibly going up at present.
