We would like again to take this occasion of Chinese New Year – wishing you all prosperity and good-luck throughout Chinese-Mice-Year! Welcome to China and enjoy Olympic Games if you get the time and lucky.
Traditional Chinese calendar makes the first day of Chinese New Year vary from year to year. But in most case, it is in the month of January or February. This year, our office staffs would enjoy a span from February 05 to February 12 for Chinese-New-Year (CNY) holidays, whereas business would not set foot on the right paths until February 22. For most factories, workers would not come back to work until end of this February. Chinese New Year Holidays are the biggest traditional days for most Chinese with a chance to be family-gathering, especially for those workers working thousands of miles away from their hometown and this is therefore the only and biggest chance to be home-gathering. All businesses are generally interrupted for about three to four weeks, for CNY.
For this couple of weeks, 19 provinces in South China are experiencing blizzard and storms, which have been blocking Chinese way back home from the place they are working. Overall 589 billion RMB is directly losing because this snowstorm, which was never ever happened in the history since its foundation of P.R. CHINA. If this storm continues, it could be a factor that puts workers off work after holiday.
G603 accident
Last moth, there is a casualty occurred during mining G603. G603 mining would be restored, optimistically after 3 to 4 moths since now. But there is anyhow a big possibility that the situation like 2005 would happen again, that G603 mining would suspend over half a year, and prices for raw stock would increase dramatically.
